Brian began selling insurance for his father when he was in college, selling crop-hail insurance in Northeast Missouri. He comes from an insurance family. His father began his first agency in 1958 and Brian also has two brothers in the insurance industry. He joined Harrison Agency in 1988 as a personal lines producer and is now the President of the agency. He obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1992.
Brian has been heavily involved in Missouri Insurance Agents Association over the years and in the summer 2013 was installed as the President of the Association, which serves the independent agents of Missouri. His other interests include the Boy Scouts, where he has served as a Scoutmaster for several years. He has one son that attained the rank of Eagle Scout and has another son on the same path. He was recently elected to serve on the Board of Columbia Rotary South club. He and the agency have been members of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce for years. Brian is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri and an avid fan of the Tiger's football and basketball teams.
Sam began his insurance career in 1987 while working in an agency in the bootheel of Missouri. He moved to Columbia in 1989 and immediately began working for Harrison Agency. Sam has helped individuals, families and businesses with their insurance needs throughout this time. He obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1996 and his Certified Professional Insurance Agent designation in 2013.
Sam's career also includes becoming a national instructor for the National Alliance for their Certified Insurance Service Representative and Certified Insurance Counselor programs. He is also a national facualty member of the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist program. He has been called on to offer insurance education in conferences across the country and has serviced as an expert consultant to several law firms. Sam is currently serves as President of the Missouri Insurance Education Foundation.
Sam is a former "Young Agent of the Year" award winner for Missouri. His passion away from the office is cooking. He and his family offer their culinary talents to many local organizations for fundraising purposes.
Nicole joined the agency as a temporary employee in May 2012 and became a full time member in September 2012. She earned her Property & Casualty Insurance license in December 2012. She is a recent graduate of Columbia College-Evening Campus with her associates degree in Business Administration. Nicole moved to Missouri in 2005 from the Northwest Indiana/Chicagoland area and currently resides in Centralia, MO with her family. She is a CSR (customer service representative) with the agency, mainly handling personal lines accounts.
